Meet the Team

Julie draws upon her more than 35 years of experience in education. She graduated from Sonoma State University, in California, in 1991 with with her teaching credentials and when her and her husband Whitney moved to Kentucky, she also got her credentials to teach there too.

She has spent her career helping children with learning challenges find their footing — and helping the families and educators around them do the same. She brings deep experience with IEPs, 504 Plans, ADHD, ODD, and vision-related learning challenges (COVD), working across the school and home interface with a personalized, integrative, and restorative approach. Currently Program Coordinator at Yes Arts in Frankfort, KY, Julie weaves arts-integrated learning into her consulting practice. Through Flourish Consulting, she works with children, families, and the adults who support them — removing the roadblocks that stand between a child and their own potential.
